Nova Vocal Ensemble Folk Mass Concert

Nova Vocal Ensemble is a professional chamber choir consisting of experienced singers dedicated to performing the a cappella choral works of living composers. The first concert of the 2014-2015 season is a Folk Mass Concert. It will feature contemporary folk song arrangements from Scotland, Ireland, China, and Japan and new pieces that use the plainchant melodies. This concert is NOT an actual Christian mass; nor will it feature liturgical folk music composed in the 60s, 70s, or 80s for worship. It will include a world premiere by composer-in-residence Dale Trumbore and the world premiere of Alma Redemptoris Mater by Wm. Glenn Osborne.
The concert is free, though donations will be encouraged.
